Key Duties:

1. Customer Interaction:
   • Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor as they approach the checkout counter.
   • Assist and answer customer inquiries about products, prices, and promotions.
2. Accurate Transactions:
   • Efficiently and accurately process customer purchases using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
   • Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment securely and according to company policies.
3. Bagging and Packaging:
   • Safely and neatly bag items for customers, taking care to prevent damage to products.
   • Offer assistance to customers with carrying bags or locating items.
4. Price Verification:
   • Ensure accurate pricing by scanning items and verifying prices against the inventory system.
   • Address and resolve pricing discrepancies or errors.
5. Customer Service Excellence:
   • Address customer concerns and resolve issues courteously and professionally.
   • Uphold high standards of customer service to enhance the overall shopping experience.

Qualifications:

1. Customer Service Skills:
   • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with a wide range of customers.
   • Patience and a customer-first attitude.
2. Attention to Detail:
   • Accurate and efficient in handling transactions and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
   • Ability to multitask and stay focused during busy periods.
3. Numeracy Skills:
   • Basic math skills to calculate prices, discounts, and change accurately.
   • Familiarity with currency denominations and counting procedures.
4. Reliability:
   • Punctuality and consistency in attendance.
   • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
